VAIO Corporation to Begin Sales in the Middle East from October 2019
Expanding VAIO® PC Global Sales to 22 Areas
VAIO Corporation (Head office: Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture; President: Chihiro Yamamoto) will launch VAIO PCs in four Middle Eastern countries (United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain) on October 8, 2019, with the aim of growing overseas business. This will bring the total number of global sales areas to 22, including Japan.
While domestic PC sales remain VAIO’s principal focus, we will actively seek out the opportunities for further business growth through business development tailored to each region together with optimal business partners in order to deliver VAIO PC again to persistent overseas VAIO fans.
■ Background and Details Relating to Sales Expansion in the Middle East
We are beginning sales in the Middle East because consumers in the region have the same high expectations of the VAIO brand as those in our existing overseas sales areas. Nexstgo Company Limited, which is a business partner of VAIO in the Asian region and which also has healthy relationships with sales partners in the Middle East, will handle VAIO® PC sales in the region.
