VAIO has consistently promoted environmental management since its founding in 2014. As a range of global environmental issues continue to arise, such as climate change and resource scarcity, we recognize the responsibility of businesses to engage with the environment and will contribute to the creation of a sustainable society by reducing the environmental impact of our business activities and production. 

As a company located in Azumino that is rich in water and greenery, VAIO will contribute to realizing a sustainable society by engaging in business activities that are in harmony with global environmental practices, and not just the local environment. 

1. We will contribute to achieving the SDGs and reducing the environmental impact of our customers by providing environment-friendly products and services.
2. We will create a comfortable work environment and streamline energy usage in order to cut our CO2 emission to 50%* of 2018 levels by 2030.
3. We aim to establish a recycle-oriented society by promoting an increase in recycling and making the most of our resources.
4. We will strive to maintain and recover biodiversity through our business activities and contributions to the local community.
5. We will observe all environmental and energy regulations.
6. We will provide the necessary information and resources to achieve environmental and energy related objectives as well as targets.
7. We will implement continuous improvement of our environmental and energy management systems to increase environmental and energy performance.  

We will ensure that our Environmental Management Philosophy and Policy are communicated to all employees, who will engage with them voluntarily and proactively, while making them publicly available.

*This refers to CO2 emissions as defined under Scope 1 and Scope 2 of the GHG protocols.
